Flood Alert issued on 14 Nov 2023 21:01
River Aire, Bradford Beck
River levels remain high following storm Debi but are expected to fall this evening and through the night. The risk of flooding is reducing, however, water is likely to remain on low-lying land and roads. We expect river levels to gradually fall through the day tomorrow as water moves downstream from the upper catchments. Further showers are forecast this evening and into Wednesday. We do not currently expect these to be impactful and do not expect to have to issue any flood warnings. Due to the saturated conditions rivers may respond readily to any further rainfall. We are monitoring the situation. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. Plan driving routes to avoid roads near rivers which may be flooded. This message will be updated by 09:00 on Wednesday 15/11/2023, or as the situation changes
